The screenshot isn't so bare-bones now! Lol.

Will do a video tomorrow.

Hello to all my stalkers.

Day 3 is up.

I've made a degree of progress today, I now have a player character that is fully controllable and accurately colliding with the world map.

The map supports blocks and slopes at the moment. Floating platforms are still yet to come.

It still doesn't look like much, the graphics are just placeholders, although I am going for a minimalist black and white look for the completed game (I'm no artist!)

Tomorrow (Thursday) I plan to add a scrolling camera (to follow the player), platforms and the death mechanic itself.

Friday I'll aim to add my narrator's dialog messages and perhaps a few bad guys.

Leaving the weekend to add polish (sounds, music, sprites, etc)

.... that's in theory at least, in reality Scala will probably kick my bum.

There are some screenshots and videos going up on here from other people's games that I am really looking forward to playing!

Good night everybody!

Read my journal entry for my loooong 3d day of WOA3 and watch the movie that shows the current state of my game: Grime Reaper - Harvester of Cobs (Working title)

Day three is over! Here follows my journal for the day:

WoAIII: Spells and Doorways

I'm running late, according to my schedule: I should have had a prototype out yesterday! Still, I like the way that my game is shaping up, I think.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Day 3 is getting close to a close for us. A lot of work went into the project and now we have a tutorial level started. We are also making an alpha build to try and should have that ready tonight. Here is our blog post of what was done and a demo video.

I have to say there are a lot of games. Can't wait to try them when they are done.

EDIT:

Not sure what the deal is but the auto link keeps cutting off the last part of my URL in my posts.

A huge amount of back-end progress was made today, I am very pleased with the result. A lot of the journals and posts look great and I am getting excited to try your games out.

Remember to mark someones post as helpful if you found it so.
