No, MVC? No, Razor Webpages (not Webforms)?
Well, take it with a grain of salt as I've only done a very small amount of web frontend development, but from talking to people in the industry and reading about current best practices, I'd lean more towards a pure HTML5 frontend. (jquery, node, angular, ember, etc.)

mmmmm, razor and MVC. I really do like that platform, and the entity framework ORM. Yum.
It's actually designed, where PHP .... isnt.
