Something good for beginners... maybe

It seems to be a full development environment with a python based scripting system.

Free and open source, extensible through C++.

multi platform output

Take a look at there features page yourself, they just had their stable 1.0 release.

I haven't really looked into it yet but sort of reminds me of gamemaker. edit - in features.

Thought it might be useful to post in the beginners forum.

edit2 - they also seem to need volunteers, so take a look it seems like it might be a worthwhile endeavor.

I had read somewhere that this was nearing release. I'm excited for a good free, open-source, linux compatible engine. I usually eschew these things, but I might actually toy with this one.

Beginner here <- please take any opinions with grain of salt

IMHO - It's not a good idea to show a "beginner" a program they have to compile themselves to use ... just saying.

Their download page has a link to github on the left side and binary downloads for win,osx, and linux on the right.
