Hello guys :D

I have got a question.

Is Flash(ActionScript 3.0) good for 2D game develop?

Is it used for desktop applications?

Also, is ActionScript 3.0 going in the future to die?(If yes, reasons?)

Thank you, I have already bought a book for ActionScript Game Develop.

... THIS SITE demonstrates that the future of flash games is alive and very strong.

Be aware that Flash is not supported on a lot of devices ... if you want a broader "marker exposure" , you will have to use another language / engine ( depending on what you are doing )

I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.

Flash is bound to die but I predict that it will be a slow decay because:

It can prototype fast

It can build nice websites

That being said, mobile.giving up on as3 for the most part endangered it (possibly why we hear so much of html5). Cross platforming capabilities are limited with as3, so while its a good tool to get the job done, its no longer a buzzword...
