My second journal entry is up. Got the core gameplay implemented and a gif showing it all.
The middle portal exit is curious because it seems to span across a tile boundary - is everything freely positioned really and the perception of a tile grid merely an illusion or are the portals simply not bound by a grid structure?
The level itself is tile based. However the objects themselves are not. That's why it took a while to get those collisions and slopes worked out.

My first journal entry is up.
Got the framework for my game up.
