Nay, You understand it wrong, Lets say I am at firecamp or party and found it to mayself that this is boring - i find it as a reason to think if I should move out (so I probably will do) or ask some fallow near a thinking if maybe we could put the things at fire here a bit more ;/
Am I the only one worried he's going to set fire to the forum.

It was obvious before but now that you are bored of your own topic shows you clearly have an issue that is larger than this forum that needs addressing.

Im bored, searching for some boredom-brake ;/ I state it clearly ;\

This is the lounge forum. A passionate and goal driven person hanging out in this forum and replying to posts in this forum seems like an oxymoron to me.

So? Look at the topics that are currently posted in the Lounge. Most (or at least many) of them are related to game development, and this is a game development forum. I see no hypocrisy or oxymoron here. :)

Or, as I was saying, not every min of everyone's life is precious as some would have others believe.

I have difficulty understanding how a person could hold that their time and life are not precious to them. Lifetime is a scarce resource. We each only have a limited amount of time on the planet and some of us want to spend as much time on the pursuits that we value as possible.

Unfortunately your English isn't good enough to clearly work out exactly what you're trying to say most of the time.

I don't mean that as a criticism, just a statement of fact.

Yeah, I have to read most of his posts three or four times. But usually what he's saying is hilarious or insane enough to be worth it.

As far as this forum goes, things used to be crazier. A lot crazier. A lot of crazy bullshit and screwing around. But that's largely faded away, for a variety of reasons. Whether that is good or bad, I don't know.

Haha, may be, but besides this began to work (boredom slightly decreased, but, Im not sure if Im so patient to wait tilll something much more interesting will at last do appear ;/ ),

I am here about half a year, (wrote many posts read yet more post of others),

but I must say this forum began to bore me till bottom. many praises it, its advantage is really it is on topic, and there are very many people doing close things, but also this forum has some boring force to me, I feel better for example when reading articles in the google, also some other places like old usenet has some kind more indepth attitude than here, not to mention a plactic graphical form of this place i dont like too.. So I think if it is worth to stay it or it is better to move on to antoher place of focus

has some other person such kind of feelings too?

No. Leave, this is clearly not a forum for you.

I'm sorry we're not entertaining enough for you. Maybe we should rubbish-heap all this informative nonsense in favor of cat videos and image macros and top ten lists of why Miley Cyrus is, like, totally lame. Why waste your time on dry technical discussion when you could be ENTERTAINED(TM) instead, eh?

It's not boring, it's focussed.

There's none (OK, very little) of the crazy screwing around, trash-talk, personality cults or other nonsense you might see elsewhere. That kind of stuff has it's appropriate place, and this forum just isn't that place.

It's OK for both kinds of forum to exist; it's a big world and there's room for lots of variety in it.

Right now you remind me of someone who doesn't like chicken but yet keeps eating chicken and complains about how much he doesn't like. There is another option. Stop eating the chicken. Go eat something else. Similarly, if this forum isn't for you, maybe another one might be?

Direct3D has need of instancing, but we do not. We have plenty of glVertexAttrib calls.

Gamedev strengths are really in answering graphic related, and obviously game related, questions, where stack-overflow and others fail. You can almost always guarantee a graphics development related question on Bing, or Google if you are into that, will have a GD link. However if you were to search for "I am bored entertain me", it is unlikely GD would appear at all.

I don't think you should try to be entertained by these forums, that would be like trying to be entertained by documentation. I am not sure what the long term goal of GD is but somehow I doubt entertaining posters was on its list of priorities.

I must be entertained by work, if i get bored i cannot just do this - and im heavy bored recently (this topic also bore me to death to be honest;/)

Unless you are a forum troll a forum should never be considered work

If you aren't finding satisfaction with your work, the problem has got nothing to do with the forum you have been posting on.

EDIT: If you want to be entertained, go on #gamedev on IRC and ask those guys to entertain you ;)

Sounds like fun; lets do it.

"The code you write when you learn a new language is shit.
You either already know that and you are wise, or you don’t realize it for many years and you are an idiot. Either way, your learning code is objectively shit." - L. Spiro

"This is called programming. The art of typing shit into an editor/IDE is not programming, it's basically data entry. The part that makes a programmer a programmer is their problem solving skills." - Serapth

"The 'friend' relationship in c++ is the tightest coupling you can give two objects. Friends can reach out and touch your privates." - frob
