hi,

Big fan of TW games but disppointed with the pump-n-dump attitude of SEGA these days. i'm looking for dedicated war gamers who might be developing a Rome 2 clone ? but a more realistic war game.

Are there any out there in development land ?

Also, the power of CA game like TW is there 3D graphics which Tablets / phones etc cannot seem to handle aTM, when will Tablets / phones go 3D ?

You're never going to see cutting edge 3D graphics on a phone/tablet (at least not with the current state of technology). My GeForce 680 is the same size as my 7" tablet, and most of it is the fans that stop th thing fro getting excessively hot, so there's no way of shrinking it down while maintaining the heat reduction.

Steam in-home streaming is becoming more popular, hopefully it will also become more practical too, and come to android devices.

I haven't played Rome, but I have played Chivalry...I'm not sure how it compares in realism to Rome but is still very fun.

Stay gold, Pony Boy.

Realism purely in terms of graphics, or realism of gameplay?

don't be too surprised if in a few years we're seeing this calibar of graphics on phones.

Check out https://www.facebook.com/LiquidGames for some great games made by me on the Playstation Mobile market.

There already some very poweful 3d chips available on tablets / phones considering their size and power consumption. However I'm not really seeing the need for such powerful mobile GPUs because barely anybody is taking full advantage of them.

The apps that are making all the money are 2d match 3 and simple single tap games. Sure you have the odd infinity blade game and other games with a similar 3d graphics (GTA San Andreas, Max Payne)

but compared with games like wheres my water, candy, crush and doodle jump their numbers are really small. Infinity blade has all but disappeared from any apple charts but Angry Birds is still in the top ten.

Sure Creative Assembly could go and convert the full Total War to run on mobile instead of their cut down Shogun games but the number of users playing it compared to Words with friends would just not make it financially viable.
