I downloaded this model (http://www.models-resource.com/psx_ps2_ps3/inuyashafeudalcombat/model/2858/) and opened it in Blender. It worked, sort of. For some reason, it only opens up the body without textures. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Not sure what the author of this model did but the geometry is pretty messed up and distorted. I took a few minutes to do some manual editing because all the image textures have to be reloaded. And for some strange reason the entire model is chopped up into many parts.

Not sure if the file will have the textures applied because it wouldnt let me pack the data. But it worked when I tested the compressed version.

never had that in maya, but when that happens in max it is usually because the file has been saved with multiple modifiers in the stack.
