I'll get at least one later, probably an Xbox One as long as the next Halo (the only IP I really care about) doesn't look terrible.

This, wholeheartedly. I even went so far as to preorder Halo, though I don't have an Xbox One yet. I just recently built a PS3 out of parts; it'll take me a while to get either console.

Off-topic, does anybody know if Microsoft have released an SDK similar to XNA for indie developers to make games for the X1?
Nope, there's no "indie"/hobbyst/public SDKs for X1/PS4 yet, and there's been no announcements that these SDKs are on the way either...

Remember it did take a while for XNA to appear for the 360 though...

I wouldn't hold out hope... As much as I'd like to see XNA or something like it, the direction seems to be going towards C++/DirectX. MonoGame should be usable with a little effort once the console is opened up.

I can understand why they'd want everyone to use C++/DirectX, but for a person like me who doesn't like doing all the low-level stuff, it's more than a little daunting. :P

Hoping for MonoGame to prove itself!
