Who... Me?

I'm new to these forums so just wanted to say hi. I assume this is the correct place to do this, heh.

Anyhow, i'm planning on larger browser game project (made within html 5 - php - javascript and everything between) and since i don't have any "IRL" support to give feedback or constructive criticism. I wish to get my backbone from here.

I have few years of history in common web development languages and in Dark basic pro rolleyes.gif, but cant really say that i', a pro in any of em.

Also a father of defiant aged kid so my time is limited, but trying to be as active as i possibly can.

So aaaa... That's me in nutshell and pardon my bad English (I'm from Finland).

Moi, welcome to the community. :)

Welcome to the community :). I too have a history with Dark Basic Pro, used it about 10 years ago.

Your English is fine, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts or ask questions.

Well... you didn't actually ask any questions. If you want some responses, you should ask some questions.

Welcome to the community. It's pleasant and supportive around here.

I've made some contacts and learned a lot from getting active on the message boards here.

Don't forget to browse the articles, too!

There is a ton of useful information for all skill levels to be found here.

I hope your experiences here are at least as rewarding as mine have been so far.

Welcome.

Actually, it surprises me sometimes how quiet the lounge has become relative to the past. I think people aren't so sure what or how to post here anymore.

I'm glad to see so many responses after all :) I'm publishing the project here near days and hope to get some feedback (although there's not much done yet, but to prevent from going on wrong tracks) and even its not going to be a question ;]

Welcome.

Well, going to make as much noise as possible, hope it helps!

Personally I have noticed a major change in the lounge since the earlier days of the forum. I rarely have time to work on programming now due to not coding in my day job, and having too many other hobbies that pull me away in the evenings and weekends. As such I generally end up only reading Game Design and the lounge.

But yes, hello, welcome elijuko. I hope your project goes well.

(Also, as to the silence, you DID post rather early in the morning for many in North America to see, which seems to be a decent chunk of the website's viewership.)

Well, you had posted in a technical forum, and I moved your post to The Lounge. See how you're getting a better response here!

Thank you very much.
