Why would you come here for good examples of that stuff? This site tends to be hobbyist and indie oriented, not enterprisey or AAA. I wonder why you even need all of those documents. Seems like a lot of excess bullshit if you're not running a large team.
It doesn't hurt to ask.
Whilst your point remains fairly accurate in large respect to this site, there is still a pool of talent on this site who work in Triple A companies as well it is entirely feasible that some indies do practice extensive documentation (admittedly this might also be a pipe dream). However what the request pertains to is whether anyone knows of any useful resources of the types he is seeking which is entirely possible. Moreover in developing such documentation along with his game design it is also feasible that it could form part of a resume demonstrating a broader regard to game design than might be shown simply with a game by itself.
And Stormy, you take Member of the Month in my books! What you have just written are all the reasons why I want to find the examples. To show a broader knowledge of game design as well as software design. For example, last week I started learning about the different varieties of Entity Relationship diagrams.
By gathering more knowledge of different design documents, I can make myself more flexible to a company's way of designing and thus looking for ideal for any design roles they may have.
Btw, it would also be nice to be pointed in the direction of any software development forums :)
