1. How much are you making with your games?

2. Are you an Indie or do you write games for a company?

3. If you are a successful Indie, what's your advise for all us noobs?

None of the above. tongue.png

I'm.................a gamer. Peace!

More than $1000 but I am not a full time indie or a full time games programmer.

For me it varies, i'm a full time programmer and hobbyist game developer, i sometimes get paid to make games at work(We make all kinds of software). (Havn't made anything with my personal projects yet)

My advice: Keep things simple and aim at the niche markets, avoid competing against the big guys as much as possible.

[size="1"]I don't suffer from insanity, I'm enjoying every minute of it.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!

I don't think I thought through the poll very well.

Excellent advice!

I try to do that when I can conjure the interest to do something unique. If I'm not interested, I won't write it. A weakness I know!

None of the above.

I code games, apps and plugins in several languages, however I have never sold any of them.

Nothing I do is marketable, so either the projects never get finished, get released as freeware, or never get released.

Last project I was working on was a web interface for MineCraft, that allowed players to pass game items back and forth.

Here is a

">DEMO VIDEO of the early alpha . Source code, documents, and project are HERE .

You forgot one option:

"I lost money" ;)

This was my first shot at a "real life" game:

http://creatures-of-gaia.com

...I hoped that this game would put my first foot on the gaming scene and participated to a contest with 5000$+ prizes where I hoped to get one, so I invested a bit.

There were the costs:

- 800$ commissioned art assets

- 50$ domain / servers / APIs

- 10$ for music (peanuts)

Earnings so far:

+ 2$

So, in total, I got a balance of "-858$", roughly and a game nobody likes. Yay!

Hopefully you like it!

2. I don't write games.

3. I have no advice.
