Why does Electronic Arts call their Orlando Studio Tiburon?

EA Tiburon is an Electronic Arts video game development studio located in Maitland, Florida, United States founded in 1994. It is located just north of the Orlando, Florida downtown area.[sup][1][/sup] It was formerly known as Tiburon Entertainment, which was acquired by EA in 1998.

In addition to all that, the word shark in English == the word tiburon in Spanish. That's probably where the studio came up with the name in the first place.

Being a foreign-named animal is better than joining the ranks of {Adjective} {Animal}. I vaguely remember reading about a studio who wanted to name themselves that as a jest, probably an article on Gamasutra several years back.
Not a technical question. Moving to the Lounge.

OOooooh, that makes much more sense... I own a Hyundai Coupe -- sold in the US as the "Tiburon", presumably, given that, because it has shark gills behind the front wheels. I'd just assumed it was a placename or something.

Gotta love these internets! If they didn't exist, we'd have to invent them.
