Stanford AI Class this Semester for Free

Anyone know when we/if we really get into any game related AI? I am having a hard time staying focused and interested with all of this machine learning stuff. I may be more related if it was being linked to real world uses.

Note that this was never really meant to be a game AI course.

It's a university course, not a trade school. They are offering you higher learning for the sake of knowing. It's up to you to find new ways of applying the concepts.

I understand that but I guess I assumed it was going to have more relavence to games as they are trying to get people interested in the field of AI and several statements about AI say game AI is currently the most interesting area. The first week with tree searches and A* I can see an application, I can barely see an application of week 2's lessons on Bayes Networks but this weeks Machine Learning is just dragging for me. With the crunch at work I am struggling to find time for the units and I suppose I am looking for if they aren't going to be talking specifically about game AI anytime soon than maybe I should stop killing myself trying to get these done.
