Sloperama.com.

Read FAQ 60 too.

With the minimal info I have, and given that every company is different, there's a very wide range of what's possible. Likelihood is another matter, though.
30% is what you might get with an online portal for a downloadable game.Or maybe they take 30%, I don't know. Every company is different. No idea if you're talking about an iPhone app or what.

BilliQ (that will be up and running in 10 days) is designed for the iPhone (i"m not sure my master game would fit in there). Help me out and we'll most than sure be both happy. What do you have to lose? My game is not only the smartest in the history of video games (just cuz I say so), but it's also on the winner list of an international contest organized by a multi-billion $$ business.

I'm a gambler (and I live in ... Las Vegas). Are you?

1. iPhone game, hmm? You don't need a publisher. Just get it on the iPhone app store. Then the only percentage you have to worry about is whatever Apple wants for listing the game.
2. Help Wanted posts are forbidden outside of the Help Wanted forum. Please stop asking for agent representation in this forum.

1. I had a game idea outta da blue. I worked hard for more than half month to put it on paper and then PPA it (PPA = Provisional Patent Application= $110 at USPTO);

You can't patent a game idea. Patents only apply to "a new and useful process, machine, manufacture, or composition of matter, or any new and useful improvement thereof." (source: US Patent & Trademark office). You could apply for a patent on a specific process (such as a new algorithm used to compress data) or a specific method of doing something such as floating navigation arrows in crazy taxi but you can't patent a creative work such as a game or a document that describes a creative work.

What do you have to lose?

Money, time and credibility to name but three.

Really? I have more IP's (Intellectual Properties) at the Library of Congress, in WDC, than you have years of school. Read what a PPA is and then enlighten us.

Must be my lucky day. I'm in the IP business since '97, but, apparently, I missed an Obscure to share w/me the insides of the USPTO …

"credibility"?! You're the one that just lost yours ...

Please, let's dial it down a notch and keep this on a more civil level, okay?

I just want to: 1. Make sure I know the right numbers (%);

See FAQ 35.
But since the game is already finished, maybe as much 30%. Depending on whether it's a packaged product or an online/downloadable game or what. The platform and the delivery method matter to this question.
It's odd, though, that the game has won competitions but no publisher noticed.

I never said "that the game has won competitions", I said that "[color=#1C2837][size=2]3. From the Finalists’ List it made it to the Winners’ List." Now, due to certain circumstances, I'm getting really pissed off of the way them incompetents are handling this contest. I might have some comments ab the imbeciles hired to handle this contest, where should I post them? I'm really furious and ready to do some damage ...

Firstly, be sure that you're not letting your emotions cloud your judgement -- if you're going to make a complaint try to make it calmly at rationally so that you aren't dismissed out of hand. Be sure that they're actually doing something wrong, as opposed to simply something you don't like or don't agree with.

You should probably direct your comments to the people running the contest in question -- if you've truly been wronged and don't think you're going to get anywhere directly you could consider doing so in the form of an open letter, which you would typically post on a public blog as well as sending directly to the people in question. If the competition is being seriously mis-managed you might also consider talking to the other contestants, as a group complaint may hold more weight than you alone.

If the contest has any corporate sponsors, and if you've already tried contacting the people that have run it to no avail you could also try letting the sponsors know what is going on -- again for emphasis, make sure you do have a genuine complaint that others will agree is a problem.

If the contest is something reasonably official and you don't have any luck with the above you could also consider legal action; consult a lawyer if this is something you may be considering.

I'm really pissed off and out to do some damage. I only barked twice so far, but I'm not gonna stop here:

"So I finally got (10 mins ago) the so-called (4 lines!!!) feedback. One line says: “[color="black"] Basically incomprehensible. I couldn't figure out how to even move a piece on the chessboard.” Well, Mr. gENIUS, as any toddler knows, there are 2 (TWO!!!) possibilities (not to mention that everything is clearly explained in the Abstract and Tutorial: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=XIXcd4al6kw): left-click and left-click OR left-click and right-click. If you couldn’t figure that out then no McDonalds will ever hire you to flip the burger; who hired you as an “expert” at Intel is beyond me …"

AND (email directly to Intel)

"so how come BilliChess made it to the Winners' List with such catastrophic comments ([color="red"]4 comments outta ... [color="red"]11 judges ??!!!)?

May I know the name of the eINSTEIN that said, "Basically incomprehensible. I couldn't figure out how to even move a piece on the chessboard."? That clown either has a lower IQ than my neighbor's hamster, or he has a lower IQ than my neighbor's hamster. I'd really like to find him where he's posting and ask that albert some questions"
