Beer
The company's slogan for Stella is "Reassuringly Expensive." They're trying to market it as some sort of a luxury beer. My opinion of Stella is that it's a pretty average lager. It's good, but it doesn't really stand out. I can buy better lagers for less at just about any store that might carry Stella Artois.
Foo foo beer.

Ever since Inbev bought Anheuser-Busch there has been a distinct uptick in the number of Stella Artois commercials running on television here in the US. I can't say that Stella Artois looks all that tasty.
Careful, I drink Stella when I go to Canada and I'm pretty sure they lace it with PCP.
And that makes it tasty?
No, it makes my brain fuzzy and warm and I start hallucinating. Never happens with any other beer and all of my US colleagues noticed the same.
Jägermeister?

Some people will tell you to keep your head out of the clouds. I say the view up there is much better then if it were up your...
Anything not Canadian or American.
Normally Grolsch but if I want to be reminded of my amazing trip to Germany I'll have a Becks and it'll seem like I'm back in Bielefeld

I'm a fan of visiting places that have their own microbrews, or have a large selection of draft beer from all over that I can try (like the Yardhouse that opened up recently!).
Hrm... I tend to stick to the lager side of things, as most darker brews leave an aftertaste I'm not fond of.
If I'm eating mexican food, Dos Equis first, Corrona second -- both with lime and salt.
If I'm eating asian food, Tsingtao first, Sapporo second, Kieren if I have to.
Heineken is nice. Stella Artois is nice. Henry Weinhards Wheat Ale and Hefeweizen are good. Rolling Rock is okay, but a little light for me. I don't really do your typical American beer, not since high school anyhow -- and then I used to mix it with tomato juice (making it mildly palatable).
There's a neat little beer shop (in WA all the liquor stores are state-owned, so the only mom & pops only sell beer and wine) a few blocks from where I live that imports from all over the world, and I had an amazing organic german lager that was delicious, and cheap as prices go in that place (a large, 1 liter beer can run upwards of 15 bucks there). Still lots to try but I like the Germans.
There's also He~Brew, which I haven't yet tried but gets an honorable mention for being Jewish-themed and calling itself "The Chosen Beer".

Yes, I've often wondered about that slogan too. Everybody I know refers to Stella as "Wife Beater". It's something Chavs drink before embarking on a night of holliganing.
My favourite beer is Hob Goblin. :)

The advertising campaign for Stella Artois in the UK runs the slogan "Reassuringly expensive". I never understood why paying so much for something so revolting would be reassuring.

I can't help but think it was originally produced for Europe
:) If it was produced for europe it is highly unlikely that there would have been two waiters...and the woman would have been extremely lucky to get her drink before whatever programme the commercial is interrupting ends, let alone before the commercial ends.
