I probably drink more Sierra Nevada pale ale than anything else. I also like their seasonal Anniversary and Celebration ales and Bigfoot barley wine, and their porter and stout aren't bad.
I really enjoy Great Lakes Brewing's Edmund Fitzgerald porter, Elliot Ness Vienna lager, and Blackout imperial stout. And it's hard to go wrong with a brown (e.g. Newcastle or Bell's).
I'll buy PBR or MGD when I'm stocking my fridge with something a bit cheaper.
Some of the beers that stand out in my memory that I can't get regularly are Tommy Knocker's doppelbock (I think) which kept changing flavors in my mouth like that gum from Willy Wonka, this pale ale I tried at the Twin Cities airport that tasted like grapefruit if grapefruit didn't taste terrible (to me, grapefruit tastes like those strips they pass out in 7th grade biology that taste terrible to about half the class), and Golden City Brewery's javapeno (coffee + peppers + imperial stout).
Right now, all I have in my fridge is some Tsingtao and Lan Bei's "Lychee Taste" (their "Pineapple Taste" was surprisingly good, if a little sweet), but that's all I'm finding worth buying at the grocery store down the street here. Harbin's wheat beer is one of the few wheat beers I can actually drink, but that's only because I can hardly taste the beer at all (Bell's and Magic Hat are the only wheat beers I enjoyed at all, I just don't usually like the way that "spice" sits in the back of my throat).
Beer
I love me a good wheat beer. Upland Wheat is the best one I've found in my area so far.
1) Homebrew, because I made it. I have a Koelsch-like and a Belgian abbey ale in bottles now. I've got the ingredients for a nut brown and a cream ale in storage right now, but the midwestern summer is too hot to ferment them. I have plans to build a fermentation cooler so I can brew at any time of year, but I've got other priorities at the moment :\.
2) Westmalle Dubbel - HIGHLY recommended. So much better than Chimay Red it's not even funny.
3) Sam Adams Summer Ale
4) Guinness
5) Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
I drink a Budweiser every now and then, when the mood strikes.
EDIT: I also have recently discovered Xingu Brazilian Black Beer. I've only had a few bottles so that's not really enough to put it into my top five list, but it's definitely got the potential to squeeze its way into third place.

My favorite? The oatmeal stout I made last winter.
[cool]
Or, okay okay, Paulaner Salvator. Or Augustiner Helles.

Sierra Nevada is probably my favorite. I love that stuff. I'm also a big fan of Red Hook's spring ale (I believe it's called Copper Hook?). I like Red Hook ESB as well.
When I go bar hopping and I plan on having more than a few drinks I prefer lagers. Generally I drink Rolling Rocks or Coronas, and if neither of those are available (shitty dive bar) then I just go with MGD.

Could we turn this thread into "American beers suck!!!!1"?
Because American beers suck!!
Anyway, I don't know. There are some shit beers, there are fine beers that give you a nasty hangover the next day, there are some fine beers that doesn't cause hangover.
But as a rule of thumb: alcohol between 4.5-8%, and not from a can (for example Dreher from can is just disgusting)

Beck’s is my favourite beer. I've tried American beer and it all taste like crap. I couldn't even stomach a beer a mate gave me. I drinked maybe ¸¼ of the beer and couldn't drink anymore.

I think the general trouble is that most people think the only beers to come from the US are Budweiser and Miller. And they are both truly awful. I'd wouldn't even use them to kill slugs.
My list of good beers, in no particular order:
Guinness (of course)
Suffolk Springer
Bombardier
Timothy Taylor's Landlord
Marston's Old Empire
Bah, this topic makes me sad because I want to leave work early...

I was going to say root, but I can't stand that stuff either.
I used to hate the stuff, now I find myself ordering it on a regular basis.
As for regular beer, I usually like starting with Guiness and move to a lighter beer. There is a local brand called Leinenkugel's that has a bunch of flavored beers that are typically pretty good. Corona's always a decent standby assuming you have a lime on hand. Granted, they have all those lime-beers now that aren't horrible.
And if I don't feel like beer I'll do a Michelob Lime Cactus, that stuff tastes like weird kool-aid.
