Hi all, I see this a lot, .plan files, what are they? Are they just text development files, or are they supported by an actual application that reads them? a kind of "designer''s diary" app. (hey, i''m gonna go build myself a DD app in vb6, good idea!) so, whats a .plan file? Thanks, Hugo Ferreira UniteK Future "Concentrate, and you can see it. If you see it, then it is possible. If it is possible, you can Achieve it."
well, they are what you plan to do ... they originate in the UNIX world, and the "finger" command - this is mostly disabled now because it gives away info that could be used by the "evil hackers".

Originally, finger returned your login name, real name, phone number, and a few other things. Along with a .project file (which was a bit bug-ridden), the .plan file allowed you to customise your user information.

People often use them to let you know what they are up to (Carmack for example, I think used to put all his stuff in a plan file - some of the id folks anyway).

I use .plan files simply as a way to tell that a file contains some ideas i jotted down or a rough idea for a story or a program. I use alot of text files, i never use word processors or anything so all my stuff is text only.
