Who else has noticed this?

Lol, That was the first thing I ever saw on GDnet! My Internet is so slow, the top bar stays for a few seconds alone! [smile]

Gives me time to look at it more closely. [wink]
It is a real shame that there are no members on this site with Visual Arts skills that could fix this issue. Where could we find someone with Visual Arts skills? They are probably a secretive bunch...

No, I am not a professional programmer. I'm just a hobbyist having fun...

I cannot fix it. I've grown far too fond of it.

Viva la seam!

At least the header position is fixed now. It's all in the same row. Yay.
Yes, this thing was always there. Anyway, I am professional graphic designer, so I'll try to remake this image as soon as I'll return home. Be brave. Try to avoid watching on it, cause this thing watches you too. ;-)
I think I know why this is. There seems to be a button missing there. Clearly there is supposed to be some sort of "home" button that became the gamedev.net logo >..> and created a horrible horrible seam.

No, I don't think there is a missing button there. It's just a gap between the rounded part of the image and the Features menu.
If I move my mouse cursor over the 'Features' button:

The menu opens up and 'Resources', 'Community' and 'Members' all move 1 pixel to the left. D:

Confirmed. This will probably ruin my every visit to this site...
Seems like the images were created entirely separately. Why the decreased color depth by the way? 24 bits is normal nowadays right?
The cause is a lossy conversion when saving the logo image or something that changed the color gradient to by off by a small amount for the logo compared to the menu bar.
