I've found gamedev to be an excellent place full of many interesting and talented people, both industry professionals and experienced amateurs. However, that goes mostly for the development side of things. Sadly the visual arts part of the forum is rather quiet. So what I'm looking for is other forums that focus on the art side of game development - preferably 2D stuff, but 3D and 2D are both fine. There are plenty of forums with a focus on art, but I'm looking specifically for GAME art. Do you know of any such places?

conceptart.org has a lot of people working on game art and the similar field of computer-animated movies.

I like www.cgsociety.org, especially their work in progress forums. Only a small portion is game art, but it's very active and inspirational...
