What would you call this? Help us name our game!
We're working on a new game, and it’s coming along really well, but we haven’t bothered to name it yet. We’ve been giving it descriptive project names along the way, but we want you to help us decide what the official name ought to be. A bunch of folks working on this got a start right here on GameDev.net, so we wanted to see what you guys thought. Take a look at the first pictures we've shown ANYONE and let us know what name you think works best.
It's an open ended real-time strategy MMO set in an all new fantasy world with a steam-punk twist. Starting on your own island in the sky, build, explore, trade, pillage, defend and conquer however you want. Customize your own airships into a lucrative trade fleet or a devastating armada.
Here's some ideas to get you all started:
-Skyberia
-Empyreign
-The Clouds
-Pirates of Zephyria
Thanks a bunch! We know you’ll love it!
Everything-is-floaty game.
I like The Clouds. I'd recommend staying away from made up mystical names ending in -eria because there so generic and easily forgotten.
Do you have more screenshots?

Yay sky islands. [smile] Have you considered names that are some variant on aether, ether, areo...? Skystream or something else combining air and water might be appropriate.
I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.
There's definitely more to see, but that's all I can show and say right now!
Thanks for the ideas, by the way! Keep it coming!

Hmm, "Final Myst Fantasy"? :)
Just kidding, but the concept art reminds me of those two games!
A sort of name in that genre would fit I think.

I mostly wanted to know because the redish sky looks worse than the pretty blue sky in the concept art, but if it's part of a day/night cycle, then it would be better than both.
How I usually come up with names; I just type a bunch of cool words or phrases and see if anything matches well.
Cloud
Sky
Aether
Aero
Ether (from sunandshadow)
Strato
Reign
Myst
Kingdom
Ascension
High
-ward
-nauts
[]Explorers
Winds of []
[]of the Air
[]onia
[]topia
The Grandeur
Or go with some sort of dramatic phrase (like, "For Glory"), which seems to be slightly less abused then the normal formula.
So, maybe like Aethernauts,Onward High, Stratoreign, Ascension Glory...
