LOL!

I can identify a glass of 'Brugal' by the smell from a distance of 3 mts. (or at least I could when I didn't smoke).

Beat that!

OMG, now you're smoking too? And by "heavy social interaction" you meant sex, didn't you?

I'm telling your mother.

Yes I'm smoking again. I had to or my nerves would asplode. Multiple stressful situations happening simultaneously aren't my speciality. I'll quit as soon as the tide lowers.

I wish I had meant sex, for christ's sake I'm asploding of that too!

My mother knows... poor mom. lol

If I had a smoke for every time I said that to myself. Um, wait...

I'm always craving for a cigarette when I drink, but I'm not prepared to give up alcohol too. :/

I actually quit four months ago. I'm in hell right now.

I don't drink anymore. I've tried it several times and never really enjoyed it. I don't get the appeal, especially of being drunk. I find it very scary to lose control of my rational self.

Fun, being with friends, social lubrication, escape, thinking of things from a different angle. There are lots of reasons why drinking can be appealing. More then once I've solved a programming problem with "mind altering" substances. Going out to a bar with a girl you know you are going to have sex with later on to get drunk with is a very...fun experience. Going to see a band at a bar and getting slightly lit makes a bad band sound good and makes you an awesome dancer.

Unless you are a two drink drunk then it takes a lot of alcohol to lose your rational self. That House quote is very true. Drinking brings out who you are and not what you prentend to be to other people. I think a lot of people that are afraid of losing control have some deep seated issues they don't want to get let out. Not that I'm saying this is true about you but my experience with people who say things like that are a bit to tightly wound up for their own good.

About the House quote:

If I am drunk, I have the same personality (I only pretend a few times), but amplified:
I'm more boring, rabbiting even more about my boring life, I tell more of my shit gags, and I even stutter heavier (can't speak a word).
So I don't drink too much.
I absolutely love a few beers after hockey or snowboarding, or after working up a sweat on a hot summer day. It tastes so good. For some reason in any other situation beer tastes like shit to me.

So I guess I'll have 2-3 beers a week, and get absolutely wrecked on Shmirnov's three or four times a year (I don't drink beer to get drunk as I don't like feeling really full and having to piss all night).

I like a variety of beers, but Molson Canadian and Alexandre Keith's are my safe choices.

I've drunk alcohol on 4 occasions in my life.

Never been intoxicated.

Alcoholism has had some pretty serious effects on my family and I have no desire to let them affect me any more.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My signature, without me, is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.
Probably once a month, my roommate was a heavy drinker, he went cold turkey and has not touched a drop of alcohol since, just stop drinking it's that simple.
I drink probably 5 times a week, but only once or twice of that to intoxication. I like to drink vodka or Jack Daniels, but occasionaly settle for a beer.

You should let all those researchers of alcohol dependancy know about this. They must have totally overlooked it.
