I think the "3D & 2D Software Information (Check here)" sticky has a lot of good useful information, but I think it is quite outdated... The last post seems to have been done in 2007... Looking at that Sticky, it really isn't all that outdated as far as packages out there are concerned. I do think it could go for a bit of editing, but I don't think it needs to be replaced by a whole new sticky.

Yeah, it definitely could use an update. Many of the links are broken and some of the software packages have changed pricing or have been discontinued.

For example, TrueSpace is now free, but development has stopped.
