L4D2 new video trailer
"target=new>These boys sure know how to make a good trailer.
Leaked... yeah right.
EDIT : The chainsaw part is brutal. Not suitable for Jack Thompson fanboys, Australians of Germans. Even contains racial slurs. It's an outrage!
Everything is better with Metal.
OMG YES! That ruled. I'll have to watch it with sound when I'm not in a public place. I can't wait until that game comes out.
I wasn't expecting much, but holy crap is that violent! (Actually, one of the few really violent games that I wouldn't mind playing). Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to watch the trailer at work... [grin]
I wonder if they will have a demo of it like they did for the first one. I only got to try it out for one night because they pulled the demo down after the full game was put up. Anyone hear about a demo for L4D2?

I'm not a fan of the redesign. I find the colour scheme to have gone too cartoonish. Also I'm not at all happy with the look of the tank. The first tank had a look of pure strength, but this one looks more like it is some rubbery kid's toy.
I also don't like the characters. I find them weaker and less interesting than the originals.

The genre's not my cup of tea, but that really was an excellent trailer.
That looks great :-D
A lot of people are complaining about how it looks 'the same', I dunno based on the trailer I think it looks new enough.
It would be tight if they never removed characters / weapons from the game so that by the time L4D5 comes around there will be absurd amounts of variety.

I am excited about it, as I am a huge zombiphile. However, I am a bit concerned with how quickly the sequel is coming out, and how much the gameplay and UI elements look the same. It almost looks like they used the exact same engine, and just added new models and environments to it. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but there were aspects that needed some attention from the first L4D. Probably one of the largest aspects that I hope they tackle is the fact that L4D got kind of repetitive around the middle of a campaign. Do something, a swarm of zombies run in. Move to the next room, a swarm of zombies run in. It would be nice if they try to change up the formula a bit, but I have not seen that yet from any of the gameplay trailers.

I don't remember where I read it, but IIRC:
Pre-orders get demo first (oct. 29ish?)
PC and XBox Live high tier (gold?) gets it around 3rdish?
Xbox live (silver?) gets it 7this?
I don't remember the dates exactly but it's something like that.

Play vs. If the latest DLC for L4D1 is an indicator, the vs is going to be much more brutal and not last as long per campaign.
iirc, The new tank is actually three weaker tanks! Then you have the old infected as well thrown in. afaik, there are three more infected classes (spitter, the old lady, the weird humpback thing).
Apparently, there is a grenade launcher too. Plus the melee weapons. Katana, axe, baseball bat, chainsaw, more gore... and did I see a fireproof zombie in a bio-hazard suit? Sounds good to me!
I like the look of it. It doesn't seem overly cartoonish. Kinda the same, with a twist. But clown zombies?!? bring it on, Ronald!
