Website Feedback
Hey guys,
I just created my portfolio website, and am looking for some feedback. I'm a programmer/artist (tech artist) and negative or positive critique will be greatly appreciated.
My Site
really nice site, but.... OMG you really need to optimise some of those images.
that photo of your sketchwork that took me 20 seconds to download ON BROADBAND, needs sorting out. and there are probably others but since that one took that long i decided not to look.

i gave a hint when explaining that it took 20 seconds to load.
it should not take that long.
it should be optimised.
as in, a sensible size both in physical dimensions and in kb.
your image is 2.5 Mb.
that is quite frankly obscene.
you should be looking at peraps 300Kb or something.
really, you're not giving a good impression.
if you don't know about simple image optimisation, i certainly wouldn't employ you.
i recommend doing a lot of study.
i'm afraid i don't know of a good place to start, i learnt this stuff 15 years ago. perhaps somebody else will be able to assist in that area?

So basically I just need to go into photoshop for all my images and export as a lower quality. (i think there is an option "export for web")
Appreciate it man.
Appreciate it man.
yeah, take into photoshop, crop the image, resize it (probably 50%) and then save as jpg at quality setting 8.
that should do the job.
