I have a rigged model that I want to animate for a game we are making. I am using both blender and 3ds max, how exactly does animating work for exporting to games? I created a simple animation using key frames in 3ds max and exported as a 3ds model and get no animation. Am I doing this completely wrong? Basically, I have a rigged model and looking for a little instruction on the process of getting it animated into our game. I have been searching the net for answers but have been unable to find them. thanks
i can't imagine it is good to export as a .3ds model when making a game.
I'm pretty sure collada is the best way to export.

It entirely depends on what animation formats your game supports!

Talk to your programmers, they should be able to help you out.

Or if you don't have programmers, consult the documentation for the game engine you are using (:
