3d max - X file texture mapping problem

I have some problem with textures in X files. I made a terrain using a plane and noise modifier. After that I added a texture using material editor. My texture was a bit small so I increase the tiling. It renders good on 3d max but when I export it as a X file texture is still big (tiling is not in effect). Should I configure something when I render it? Here is a picture, left one is 3d max view and right one is X file output http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/7205/terrain.jpg

No X file exporter I know of exports the tiling you set to the material. Try to use the UVW Map Modifier.

domok is correct. The tiling optin in the Material Editor is internal to 3ds Max only. Use a UV Map modifier to "lock it in" on export.
