imo, anyone who does a 'waaaaah! you all suck! I'm leaving' style post in public like you did should have their account suspended for a few months to prevent that returning in a couple of days and throwing out some poor excuse.

I have a personal distaste for that kind of emo-put-upon-attention-whoring style of doing things.

Besides, I'm not posting outside this thread, and won't for quite long while. I just wanted some matters clarified and to leave politely. There was some BS speculation that I were suspended for some nasty private messages, whereas I was not, and in my you all suck thread, the closing post was supporting this speculation.

No, of course not, so long as you don't insult them in the process. You can be very direct and blunt when telling someone they're wrong (Toohrvyk comes to mind as an example) without going out and attacking their credibility, reputation, or other things like that.
