I have an idea for a satellite that I plan to use in my game. It uses solar wind for power, this is based on the idea that moving a magnetic field past a wire generates electricity. It would sit close to the star and uses a magnetic field to protect it's self and funnel the plasma through the center of the magnetic field. It would then filter out particles of interest using some type of magnetic filtering system. This thing will then slow, cool and process the particles to be used for reproducing it's self. It needs to be able to generate micro black holes for intergalactic communication as well. Basically it will be an intergalactic virus which creates a neural network of billions of neurons over an entire galaxy to form a grand over mind. Hey, that sounds crazy. Maybe you need a few 3D models made based on your description? If you can add more detail and I will give it a bash.
