Modulating sound effects

Hi. Does anyone think it would be possible if one was to modulate two different sounds together to create a new sound due physics. For example, stepping sounds. The characters shoes is hard rubber, where they would contain a normal sound that's is a recording of two hard rubber blocks colliding with each other. The floor, which would be oak, again would have its own recorded sound. Now due to the force, pressure, kinetic energy, point of contact with the characters feet and the floor. These factors would modulate the two sounds and then combine them together to create a new sound or combine them and then modulate the new sound. So does anyone think that could be possible? Has it been done? is there any forums or articles that have discussed about this, which i have not known yet? Any advice or help would be very grateful. thanks
