Free Tunes for Projects...
Hey All;
My band and I have been very successful getting songs we've written into motion pictures and television shows. We've recently decided to expand our repertoire and begin offering the same songs to game developers and producers in need of music for their projects.
At this time, we do NOT expect any sort of remuneration (money) for the use of the songs that we're offering. This is a one-time deal for anyone interested in using our stuff since we, of course, need to put food on our tables.
However, we've always wanted to have songs in games, if they were suitable for the game, and are going out on a limb here offering the songs for use royalty free.
If anyone is interested, respond to me via email at: tom@refiedbeans.com, and I can send you a link to listen to some of the tunes we have available for use. Our songs, in the past, have been used typically in extreme sports and action movies, however, that doesn't preempt anyone from using them for something else.
Thanks!
Tom
Hey Tom,
Be sure to let me know how you put food on your table by offering songs for free.
Cheers,

Reputation, my good man.
We offered our songs for free to extreme sports producers who used the songs in their television shows and movies.
Then, we used that to show that their was an interest in the music. We used that to catapult us into a larger arena with producers with multi million dollar budgets who could pay us.
They didn't know that we let the smaller guy use the tunes for free.

Just be careful here. Folks that invest large sums of money sometimes want exclusive content. If you've already used material in other commercial avenues or have made it freely available via the web then it isn't exclusive. This could be a deal breaker if that's what the clients want.
Just FYI.
