Im making my 2d side-scroller game. i have just learned about openal. i can now play wav files. my problem is WHERE can i get soundeffects and BGM(background music)???? I dont have money to purchase,, so im referring to those sounds that are free. Thanks!!

Posting problems aside, a quick google search can land you a whole host of cheap if not free sound effects for a game. You do need to be careful though, as some people have a different view of "free" to others (i.e. lawyers). There are hosts of sites that rob sounds from TV, games and audio CDs and those are far from free should you ever try to release a game with any included.

The help wanted forum on this site can gain you a few friends if you post correctly and have something to prove that it's not a waste of time. Drop a post on that forum following the rules and many people (including myself) may be interested.

Btw, you really ought to do as Sneftel says and clean up this post a little. It's a bit off-putting.
