I can do quite a bit of mathematical programming and have made all kinds of simple particle systems etc. in VB before now, but what I would like to know is where I could find (if it/any exist(s)) a tutorial which goes through the process of coding a 2D game from start to finish? It can be in VB - don''t say it, I know, or C++. It could use openGL or directx. Thanks
IronBlayde has a series of tutorials that take you from the beginning of making a 2d game, I dont think he goes right up to the point of finishing it but far enough for you to carry on once completing them. They are really good. His site is http://www.aeon-software i think but the articles are also here on gamedev.net.
Just my thoughts take them as you will. "People spend too much time thinking about the past, whatever else it is, its gone"-Mel Gibson, Man Without A Face
