I'd like to draw your attention to the Golden Sun games for the GBA. Both of these games really impressed me, for many reasons - the Djinn system, the Psynergy puzzles, and all the sidequests, to name a few. But something really stuck out at me - the story. So much so, that I'd like to replicate a similar quality in my own games. Now the problem is, that I can't quite pin down exactly what it was that made the story so memorable. So here are several questions I'd like to have answered: 1. Did you like the game(s)? 2. Did you like the story? 3. If yes, why? If not, why not? Be specific. Mention specific elements (or lack thereof) 4. To what extent did these elements require a game of the sort Golden Sun was (a turn-based, "classic" RPG)? 5. Which of these elements might be broken by a transition to another genre? Why? I'd ask you to pay particular attention to the way things fit together, rather than discussing elements singly. Combinations are everything, don't you agree? This doesn't just include plot elements - music, graphics, battle mechanics, everything's fair game.

I liked the first, but not a great deal. So I never got the second.
The story seemed generic.... just had that feel, but it worked and it wasn't bad.
No Idea what you mean by q4.
Nothing will be broken if you do it is my opinion, but it depends on how its implemented.

The thing about the games is... teh first one was decent but the story wasn't an end in anyway, leaving you off with... a cliffhanger. But you pretty much played your full of the system... therefore I never got the second.

Really enjoyed the first one, but never found the time to play the sequel.

In the first game, the story was ok, but I didn't really find it great. I've heard some people say that it lacks character development. That all the characters are basically the same. But it seems like the story is better as a whole, along with the sequel.

It really isn't that noticable though, because the graphics are some of the best you'd see on the GBA, comparable to even PSX rpgs. And the music is great.
