you need to build up an reputation of making games that people have liked to gain the popularity of investors.
Just to let you all know that advertisements for Lead Programmer / Team Leader and Concept Artists have gone up in Manchester University & Manchester Met Uni with Liverpool Uni and John Moores University Liverpool to follow.

You will have a hard time recruiting the required level of experience from a university.

You will be much more successful by taking the talent from an established company, finding leaders who are unable to get into those levels of middle-management at their current job.
I agree with Frob. Uni students/grads aren't going to have anything like the level of experience necessary to lead and as a result the likelihood of success will be dramatically reduced.
