Why do my envelopes not work for this mesh? The pictures describe perfectly that no matter where I move the envelope it will select vertecies that I don't want it to. How can I remove those vertecies from the envelope? Patrick
I found it. I just had to restart MAX. Hahaha!

You might also want to take a look into painting weights. Envelops are just a rough way to get the weighting of the manipulation for each bone. You will want to paint the weighting by hand for more fine control.

Actually, possibly I found an error in painting weights Jarrod! While I have used weights to fix things of this same problem in the past... it doesn't always work. For this problem I had the weights would say it has no effect on the vertex, even though it clearly did in my viewport. I thought that was odd. So to answer your question Robinzola, I'd suggest saving your work and then restarting Max. If that doesn't work, take a look at weights, you might find an error that's easily fixable. :)
