First off im not some great programer im just a guy with alot of time on his hands I need a tileset perferable in bitmap format from Zelda:A link to the past I have one here as a demo ill post the Url below http://romgamers.com/members/storage/chronocalamity/Tiles6.bmp now i know what your thinking "zelda junk should be ez to find" ya well it is but i need these tiles in a 32 x 32 pixel size another think ive been looking for is if theres a piece of software that will help me create my own tilesets easier so if anyone has a lead for that please do post thank you and marry chrismas
You can try World Creator which can do ISO and 2D Topdown images to use in a tileset. There is a freeware version and much more powerful chargeable version. It's worth having a browse. Click on World Creator 2.5++, scroll down the bottom and preview some of the Game screenshots which have Zelda-a-like output.

hmm not realy what i had in mind
World Creator looks to be a full mapping software(maybe the software i had in mine dont exite) witch i already
have cheesy game engine im working with witch use the whole layered sprite deal

i thought the zelda sprites might be fun to mess with but any 32 x 32 px tilesets would do

The story is some friends and me witch have nothing more then basic "Sadscript" knowledge got together and said "LETS MAKE A GAME" then turn to me and said "you know the most about this set us up" ya well i sorta wanna see what this game were making will look like after a months workmost likey a nice bunch of crapbut it kills time so who cares

ive been searching for sprites for the last 2 days along with trying to get a feel for the engine

if anyone knows a good sprite/tileset site please post it
Maybe you should consider checking out the thread Sprites, Sprites, and more Sprites! at the top of this forum, maybe you'll find what your looking for there.
ah thx for the heads up

It's not mapping software although it can be used to create backgrounds. Instead its an image creation and 'manipulation' tool.
Its perfect for creating 2D TopDown Zelda style tiles by using textures and different masks.
