Okay, I want to make a quick game to get me warmed up in game design right? Okay, well here is my question. I need a program that can create sounds. I don't care if they are MIDI... I mean for example, an explosion; some kind of program that can create and explosion from the ground up without me having to insert any sounds... Then I can 'tweak' the explosion to what I see fit. Anything like that..? Thanks
Any help please

Hello Ljios,

I think the easiest way is to use a software synth.

I have a list here: http://www.synthzone.com/softsyn.htm
Some of them are freeware, other demo´s and for the other part you pay your monthly salary :P
I recommend Rebirth. It is freeware now and used to be a package you had to pay for. Allthough it is aged it is still very good imo. Worth to give it a shot.

When you have created sounds you can use the free (but very good program) Audacity to edit your sounds:

Good luck!

I've been wondering the same thing, but I've found that flstudio works great for both music and sound. If you randomize the WASP vst plugin, you get some interesting and random sound effects.
