background music for slow paced "3d pong"?
My game takes around 3 seconds between paddle hits (I chose a slow pace to help network play). It gives me a problem when looking for background music. Nothing seems to fit the action. Can anyone make suggestions?

This is just a general suggestion but if your game is slow paced, then you need music to match the pace. Thats probably obvious.
I'd be looking into ambient electronic style music, something without too much in the way of percussion and more focussed on melody would seem appropriate.
Do a search for internet radio stations that stream different genres of music, have one playing in the background and play the game, and keep trying different genres until one fits, then make a note of the genre and song and you have a good idea of the sort of music that fits your game.
Once you have a better idea of the genre you're after, you can ask more specifically for suggestions. I.E. I want <ambient / progressive trance>, and I want <exclusive license / creative commons / public domain>, etc.
Good luck anyway, your game looks great and the concept of online browser based gaming is worth expanding and becoming more feasible.

I can imagine exactly what I would write for this game. There'd be a really light medium tempo beat using sandblocks as percussion. Then a laid back retro tune on top of it that modulates a few times to different keys and changes in instrumentation. There'd have to be a bridge before it repeated so it doesn't get old.
haha. or you can just put something wierd in like this...

I would try looking for some amateur slow jazz because it is real easy to find some on the open domain.
