There is a difference between criticizing and given constructive criticism. Specifically say how something can be improved is a lot more useful that simple saying that something doesn't look good or doesn't demonstrate any talent.

That is true, however, constructive criticism only starts to be useful at a certain point. When there is just a textured box - what constructive could you really say ? "Add more polygons" ?
