So, I just ordered a Q6600 on a whim after finding a great bargain (300 CDN$, I know the price dropped today but I am still very skeptical other retailers will significantly undercut this for a retail version in the near future.) Now I'm slowly building a new PC and I'm looking for a motherboard. They all seem to be loaded with features I don't care about or lacking some of the features I want so I'm turning to GDNet for advice. What I want: GB Lan Integrated audio RAID 1 support SATA2 support Bonus points for: WiFi Annoying features I don't need: Integrated video SLI/Crossfire/whatever. Pretty much anything else. If any of you guys can offer some advice, I'd be grateful.

Check out the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe. I've been running it with a QX6700 from when they first came out. It has 2x GB Lan, HD Audio, RAID[0,1] support, SATA2 and WiFi with antenna and lots of other features. Don't know of any other good motherboards with onboard WiFi, I would suggest that you stay with the P965 or the X975 chipset from Intel though.

I love my eVGA 680i. It has SLI but why wouldn't you want that? You don't have to use it unless you want too.

So I've pretty much narrowed it down to what the system might look like, and I'd like your opinion on things I could improve, etc. Prices in CDN.

Notes:

3 Hard drives because they were the best price point I could find and allow a RAID 5 setup.

The case might be somewhat suboptimal, but comes with free shipping for the whole order. It's pretty much free.

Biggest fear is the PSU. It got glowing reviews and apparently can SLI 2 8800GTS just fine, but with 4 RAM sticks and 3HDDs.. I'm scared.
