Any know how I can convert a Kaydara fbx animation file to x?

no idea myself. But not appropriate for the DX forum - yes the .X file is specific to D3DX but this forum is more about technical or design issues with the technology/API, not art and content related problems....

From a quick Live/google search it seemed there were a few tools out there.
