Below is a link to some new pieces in my portfolio. All tracks are intended for a fantasy-medieval RPG or adventure title. I like to think that I've matured as a composer over the last couple of years, but I am open to criticism and advice from my peers. Thanks for taking time to listen, Brian

I'll be giving you C&C while listening to the tracks:

Battle (Medium Loop):
Global impression is good.
Nice use of sounds and song structure.
The only critisize i have is the mixing of the drums. personally i think the drums need a bit more dB to really give a intense feeling. also what i should try is adding some very soft Macato strings to the background and see how that sounds.
Rating: 8/10

Dungeon (Long Loop):
This is one i really like.
I don't see any point to critize here.
sounds very good.
Rating: 10/10

Forest (Long Loop):
Nice use of Tremelo strings.
I would remove the one second intro tho.
The flute seems a bit to high pitched at some times try eq'ing the high frequencies a bit. for the rest nice work
Rating: 8/10

Next time i'll try to review the rest of your songs. Hope this helped you a bit.
Very nice work in general.

Thanks for the feedback! The instrument with the melody at the beginning of the Forest track is an oboe, but the Garritan sounds can get muddy at times. Perhaps I'll try it transposed down an octave on an english horn instead, for a fuller bodied sound. As for the harp glissando at the entrance...perhaps that could go. I'll fiddle around with it.

I'm glad you really liked the Dungeon track...a lot of work went into that. It's a big departure for me because I'm usually used to writing in a purely tonal idiom. This is the first time I've based an entire piece on dissonant intervals. I felt like a mad scientist while cooking that up. :)

Again, thanks.
Brian
