Yeah, I prefer it - a lot. It has brought an extra dimension to the work :)

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it is all helping a great deal!
You have a very good understanding of the male physique, but that seems to be what your art is limited to. I'm not really in a position to criticize, but my only suggestion is that if you're looking for a career in concept art, maybe you should broaden your portfolio with other art aspects of games to show you have a diversified skillset. Things such as level art, or weapons, or vehicles, etc.

You have a good concept of perspective, depth and anatomy. I think now you need to focus on maturing your drawing into lighting, pose and so on. That painting was great, had some good elements. But doesn't look quite right because of some blurring problems (its how it would look to a farsighted person, elements far away are quite crisp and elements close are blurred.

On a side note, your designs are no very impressive, less than original I would say. But you are one of the better painters on these boards, so keep going. Your doing much better already.
also, your lighting is very contrasted and symetrical, and while contrasted is a style and not bad, the symetrical lighting is very distracting and not a good habit. Things are rarely light like that.
Thanks slowpid! These comments are awesome, it really helps to get an extra perspective on my work. I guess the use of symmetrical light is just a force of habit - I barely even notice it anymore. With the feedback you have provided I can re-assess what I am doing. Sometimes I look at my own work so much that I stop seeing it properly...

Thanks again :)
