I just got a new computer with an 64 bit Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, and I installed Fedora on it last night. I use Comcast for Windows currently and I'm planning on giving my current computer to my parents and I use my current computer. I can't seem to connect to the internet and I've called Comcast and reset my modem several times. I figure what is happening is that I haven't installed any drivers for the processor in Fedora. I understand that I'd be downloading the drivers for my graphics card, and I figured I'd have to as well for intel. I've looked at intel's website and haven't really found much. I've used Linux at school and I'm excited to finally use it at home as well.
The processor stuff is all handled directly in the kernel. (You did install the correct kernel for your process, I hope.)

You may want to go under the networking settings and make sure hat eth0 is enabled. I haven't used Fedora in a while, and I can't imagine that it wouldn't enable it by default, but it's worth checking.

Also, if you go to a shell/terminal and type "ifconfig" it will give some info that will confirm the status of your connection.

Ooops, I just needed to activate the connection. Thank you for your help, Smitty, I appreciate you answering so soon.
