It would help if you gave some more information about what this is for. Do you want to make the inhabitants of your game world easily familiar or do you plan to avoid the proposed steriotypes in an attempt at originality?
The game I'm working on features fantasy races that would live in cities, so my ten will be more humanoid oriented:

Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Goblins, Ogres, Centaur, Titan, Troll and Giant.

These are broken down more by group type but here goes.

Human
Space Alien Monster - think "Alien"
Space Alien Human - Klingon/Valcun (Star Trek)
Fantasy creatures - Elves, Dwarfs
Classic Monster - Frankenstein, Dracula
Animal Hybrids - Tiger men and such.





Leprechauns, smurfs, cartoon rabbits, munchkins, mutants, satyrs, santa's elves, scare crows, Vulcans, devils, apes, cyclopses, boogy men, Muppets ...
