Hi, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have a question. I want my users to be able to edit some of the features of their characters when they create them. Example: Haircolor, eyecolor, height, skin color, and others. What I need are any suggestions, or ideas on how YOU would go about achieving this. Thanks for the responses Mark Samford
Simply using different textures depending on what color they choose to skin the model with? Seems like the simplest solution. If you're using shaders for the eye or hair color though then you could really just make the color settings variable.

I'm not so sure what you're asking, because it seems kinda obvious ?

As you have put it, i can see how obvious it is. It is just this is my first attempt at writing a 3d game, and do not as of yet fully understand the way models work. I have many books on the subject that I am working through to figure this out though.

Thank you for your help though.
Well, if you really wanted to do it in a model editor, you could always get Poser. It is rather expensive therefore not the best solution. But, it does do all that and change hair styles, body proportions etc.
