Frank Klepacki - music from C&C and more.
Just wanted to make everybody interested in game music aware of, I think, one of the most important persons in the genre. I'm sure many of you already know him or at least have heard some of his songs in games such as Command & Conquer (all the games except Generals), Dune, Blade Runner, Lands of Lore or Star Wars: Empire at War. For the rest of you, here's a link.
You can listen to his music on his home page: Frank Klepacki.
I recommend some of the classic C&C tunes:
Airstrike,
Just Do it Up,
March to Doom,
On the Prowl and last but not least
Rain in the Night.
In case you were wondering what to put in your next christian game; don't ask me, because I'm an atheist, an infidel, and all in all an antitheist. If that doesn't bother you, visit my site that has all kinds of small utilities and widgets.
Frank Klepacki is amazingly talented and really knows his stuff. I mentioned this bit over at music4games but I'll relay it here. When music4games was at E3 this year we met up with Klepacki who let us bypass the 3 hour wait to get in the Lucasarts conclave. So he gave us a walkthrough demo of the new Star Wars: Empire at War :Forces of Corruption expansion. There was this kid there who really seemed like an afficionado of RTS games, Star Wars, and LucasArts who kept interjecting obscure questions to which Frank answered quickly and knowledgeably. Then the kid started talking about how John Williams score sounded really odd and he wasn't sure if he liked the way they used it in the game but he was glad that John Williams had agreed to write new music. My editor and I both shot each other a smirk and looked for Frank to eleviate the situation.
"Uh, I wrote the music for the game," Frank graciously offered.
"Oh," said the kid...and not a word more for the rest of the demo.
Fun!

I love it when that happens!!! That kid put his foot directly into his mouth...then let it sit there and soak up all of his spit. Very funny story Tony! Thanks for sharing.

Nice. I'm just familiar with his C & C stuff. "Grinder" is quite awesome, though I never could figure out what those voices were exactly saying. :)
