Logo for my program
What exactly do you mean? Do you want an icon for your program, or a logo image? What kind of program is it? What program did you use to write it?
Create-ivity - a game development blog Mouseover for more information.
taking a wild stab in the dark you cna make logos using a vector based graphics program (illustrator, flash...etc) which is ideal so you cna blow the logo up as big as you want. then there is a 3d modeling program so you can make a logo, and render it to a raster image and use it but you will have limitations with the variations in size unless you renderout the original render to a very large res. then you have good ol'photoshop, from here you can make you logo, since it is raster the same limitations apply as the 3d modeling one.

I have a feeling he means an application icon. If that's the case, we need to know what language, windowing system, and compiler you are using.

Veovis made a great threads for us that you should check out - 3D & 2D Software Information.
He has links to image-creation software of all kinds and for all prices. Paintshop Pro is a fairly cheap but fairly powerful piece of software while the GIMP is free, fairly powerful, and hard to get used to. Photoshop and Illustrator are probably the best and most powerful things you could buy - but they don't come dirt cheap. Take a look around the list, try some demos, and see what you like and need.
I'd recommend heading out to Google for some logo creation tutorials. That should get you pointed in the right direction (I have no idea what your skill level is!).
You might check out free font databases for fonts to work with (check the license agreements), or you might take photographs for bits of your image and then edit them. Or, simply draw the logo using Illustrator and stick it on your program... box/interface.
Or, for the low low price of $10.63, have Salsa create one for you.
