(oh ya, and if a dealer is gonna charge you 30 grand for 3DS MAX, he's ripping you off. The retail price is actually about $2.5k)

I Was Wondering If Anyone Had 3D Studio Max or even the old DOS version that I could have because I dont Have $30,000!

Check eBay and other auction places. You can get older versions extremely cheaply. Especially pre-max.

Otherwise, look into other modellers which are much cheaper, like TrueSpace, Bryce etc.

If you dont have the money, look for cheaper alternatives. Most likely you dont need 3DS to do what you want, you just heard its the best and so are looking for it... (Especially since you were off on its price by more than 10x)
